Step 2: Identify Your Electricity Provider’s Net Metering Page
You must apply through your own DISCO or utility company.

Most DISCOs follow the same NEPRA format:

Step 3: Download or Open Net Metering Application Form
Depending on your provider, you will either:
Fill an online net metering application, or
Download a PDF net meter application form

Step 4: Fill Applicant Information (Exactly as Per Electricity Bill)
Use:
Name (as per bill)
CNIC number
Mobile number
Email address
Mismatch between bill and CNIC is the #1 rejection reason.
Step 5: Fill Electricity Connection Details
Taken directly from your electricity bill:
Consumer / Account number
Meter number
Connection type (single / three phase)
Sanctioned load
Step 6: Fill Solar System Technical Details
This section must match your inverter and system exactly.
You’ll enter:
Total system size (kW)
Inverter brand & model
Inverter capacity
Panel wattage & quantity
System type (on-grid / hybrid)
Step 7: Upload Required Documents
Typical uploads include:
CNIC copy
Latest electricity bill
Solar inverter datasheet
Solar panel datasheet
Single line diagram
Installer company details
Step 8: Submit Application & Save Reference Number
After submission:
You’ll receive a reference / tracking number
Keep it saved for future follow-ups
Step 9: Track Net Metering Application Status

Step 10: Site Inspection by Utility Company
Engineers will verify:
Inverter model
Wiring & safety
Earthing & breakers
Compliance with submitted data
Step 11: Net Metering Agreement Signing
Once approved:
Net metering agreement is issued
Agreement must be signed before meter installation
Step 12: Export-Import Net Meter Installation
After agreement:
Old meter is replaced
Net metering officially starts
Excess units begin exporting to the grid
